Hydro Jetting Brampton

Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure water stream delivered through a specialised nozzle to scour the inside of a drain or sewer line. Where a cable punches a hole through a blockage, jetting cleans the full diameter of the pipe wall.

It is the right tool for grease, sludge and scale — and the wrong tool for some pipes, which is why we inspect before recommending it.

When hydro jetting makes sense

  • Kitchen and restaurant lines coated with hardened grease
  • Heavy sludge, silt or debris accumulation in a main line
  • Clogs that keep returning within weeks of being cabled
  • Commercial drain cleaning where volume of use is high
  • Sewer cleaning ahead of a camera inspection or pipe lining
  • Scale build-up narrowing an older line

When it is not the right method

Hydro jetting is not appropriate for every pipe. Older clay, deteriorated cast iron, Orangeburg and pipe with existing cracks or collapsed sections can be damaged by high pressure. Poorly supported or badly corroded lines should be assessed first.

That is why we camera the line before jetting when there is any doubt about pipe material or condition. If jetting is not suitable, cabling, spot repair or lining may be the better recommendation — and we will say so.

How the service works

  • Inspect the line, confirm pipe material and condition, and locate a suitable access point
  • Select the nozzle and pressure appropriate to the pipe and the type of build-up
  • Feed the jetter hose upstream, cleaning back toward the access as it is withdrawn
  • Flush the debris through and confirm free flow
  • Re-camera where useful to verify the pipe wall is clean and check for defects that were hidden under the build-up

Jetting versus drain snaking

Snaking is fast, effective on hair mats and roots, and often all a single fixture drain needs. Jetting removes the coating that keeps the clog coming back, which matters most in kitchen and commercial lines.

Many jobs use both: the cable opens the blockage, the jetter cleans what remains behind on the pipe wall.

Hydro Jetting FAQs

What is hydro jetting?

Cleaning a drain or sewer line with high-pressure water through a directional nozzle, removing grease, sludge and scale from the pipe wall rather than just clearing a path through the blockage.

Can hydro jetting damage pipes?

It can, if used on pipe that is already cracked, collapsed or badly deteriorated. Inspecting the line first is how that risk is managed.

How long do the results last?

Longer than cabling in grease-heavy lines because the pipe wall is left clean, but it depends on what goes down the drain afterwards.
